According to the official Kyodo news agency, the accident occurred at Itami Airport at 10:10 local time.
There were no injuries among the crew or passengers in the accident on the domestic terminal runway. The aircraft sustained minor damage.
Itami Airport, located between Osaka and Hyogo prefectures, is known as the closest airport to the former capital, Kyoto.
