Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced in a statement on social media that Ukraine is ready to declare a 30-day ceasefire with Russia starting Monday.

Stating that this step was coordinated at a meeting held today in Kyiv with the participation of leaders from Germany, France, Poland, the UK, and Ukraine, Sybiha assessed that "if Russia accepts and effective monitoring is ensured, a long-term ceasefire and confidence-building measures could pave the way for peace talks."

Following the discussions, the participants contacted US President Donald Trump to discuss the matter.

US President Donald Trump called on Russia and Ukraine yesterday to declare a 30-day ceasefire. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, meanwhile, emphasized that if a ceasefire is accepted, arms deliveries from Western countries to Kyiv must also be halted.
