Ukraine strikes Russia with long-range drones: '1,200 people rescued'

Russia announced that an ammunition depot exploded during a Ukrainian drone attack on the Tikhoretsk region.

Governor of Russia's Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratyev reported that explosions occurred at an ammunition depot following an attack by the Ukrainian army on the Tikhoretsk region using long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In a statement on his Telegram channel, Kondratyev noted that Ukrainian forces attacked Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar region with drones overnight.

Noting that two drones were shot down by Russian air defense systems, Kondratyev stated, 'A fire broke out at the ammunition depot as a result of falling drone debris, and the ammunition began to explode.'

Kondratyev stated that firefighting teams are continuing their work at the scene and that civilians were 'rescued' from Tikhoretsk, adding, '1,200 people were evacuated from Tikhoretsk. There are no injuries or deaths.'
