Ukraine strikes Russian ballistic missile production facility

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out an airstrike on a Russian facility in the Udmurt Republic. Officials stated that the attack, which took place overnight, targeted a ballistic missile production facility in the city of Votkinsk, located east of Moscow and approximately 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine. It was alleged that the facility in question is used for the production of Russia's short-range Iskander and intercontinental Topol-M ballistic missiles. The statement noted that Ukrainian-made FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles were used in the attack. It was also reported that the strike caused a fire at the facility site.

The Ukrainian military also announced that a gas processing plant near the city of Samara, located in Russia's Volga region, was struck. At the same time, it was stated that logistics targets belonging to the Russian army in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions were also hit.

Flights suspended in and around Izhevsk

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported that flights were suspended at airports in Izhevsk and surrounding cities in Udmurtia. The head of the Udmurt Republic, Aleksandr Brechalov, also said in a statement in the morning that a facility in the region had been subjected to a drone (UAV) attack overnight. Brechalov stated that damage occurred due to the attack and that some people were injured. Brechalov did not share details regarding the extent of the damage caused by the attack. Russian authorities have not yet released a report regarding the attack near Samara.
