Ukraine: We have hit a Russian Su-57 fighter jet for the first time

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine has announced that they have hit a Russian Su-57 fighter jet for the first time.

In a written statement released by the directorate, it was reported that an attack was carried out yesterday on the Akhtubinsk Military Air Base in Russia's Astrakhan region.

The statement noted that the military base is located 589 kilometers from the front line, and that a Russian Su-57 fighter jet was hit in the attack.

The statement further indicated that the strike on the aircraft has been proven by satellite imagery.

Pointing out that there are only a few such fighter jets in the inventory of the Russian Air Force, the statement noted that this is the first time a Su-57 fighter jet has been hit.
