Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is coming to Turkey. It was reported that Zelenskyy is scheduled to arrive in Ankara tomorrow following his contacts in Spain.
VISIT PLANNING ANNOUNCED
In announcing the visit, Zelenskyy stated that the goal is to revisit the peace talks that were suspended with Russia. The Ukrainian leader expressed that various preparations are being made to revive the negotiations.
Zelenskiy shared the following assessment in his statement:
“Efforts are underway to restart the negotiations, and new solution proposals have been prepared to be shared with partners. Every step necessary to end the war is a priority for Ukraine.”
ISSUE OF PRISONERS OF WAR ON THE AGENDA
The Ukrainian President also mentioned that initiatives are being taken to restart the process of exchanging prisoners of war. It was reported that the Kyiv administration is conducting separate work to achieve mutual progress on this matter.
US ENVOY ALSO IN TALKS
It was noted that US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, will also participate in the meetings within the scope of the visit. This participation is considered to expand the international dimension of the contacts.
