The Kyiv City Military Administration stated in a post on its Telegram channel that sirens were sounding across Ukraine due to the threat of cruise missile launches from Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers. People living in regions such as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, and Vinnytsia were urged to take shelter.

Oleg Sinegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, announced in a statement on his social media account that the Russian military had launched an attack on Kharkiv. Ukrainian media reported that sounds of explosions were heard in some regions.
