UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric answered questions from an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent at his daily press briefing.
Dujarric stated that the number of humanitarian aid workers who have lost their lives in Gaza is 66.
''THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE''
Pointing out that humanitarian aid workers are always on the front lines in various conflicts around the world, Dujarric noted that the numbers can be much higher in some regions. Dujarric used the expression, "The targeting of humanitarian aid workers is unacceptable."
MOST PERSONNEL ARE PALESTINIAN
Noting that this situation has been seen in South Sudan, Ukraine, and now in Gaza, Dujarric recalled that approximately 13 thousand humanitarian aid workers are operating in Gaza.
Dujarric emphasized that most of the personnel are Palestinian and are trying to help people under very difficult conditions, saying, "They are striving to provide whatever assistance they can to the people of Gaza."
