UN Secretary-General Guterres' Eid al-Fitr message
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres congratulated the Muslim world on Eid al-Fitr, stating that his "heart is broken" because Muslims in Gaza, Sudan, and many other places are unable to celebrate the holiday.

Guterres shared a video message regarding Eid al-Fitr on his X social media account.
"My heart is broken. Because in Gaza, Sudan and many other places, due to conflict and hunger, so many Muslims will not be able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr properly," Guterres stated, while conveying his best wishes to the entire Muslim world.
Guterres noted that Muslim communities all over the world are celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
