It has been reported that 13 people have lost their lives due to an "undiagnosed disease" in Nigeria's Zamfara state.

According to reports in local media, the "undiagnosed disease," which was first seen in the Maradun region of Zamfara in February, later spread to the Shinkafi and Gusau regions of the state.

In these 3 regions, 505 cases of the "undiagnosed disease" were recorded, including among children and women, and 13 people have lost their lives due to the illness.

Authorities announced that an expert team has been dispatched to investigate the cause of the disease and have requested assistance from the federal government to prevent its spread.

In April, approximately 50 people also lost their lives due to an "undiagnosed disease" in Nigeria's Kano and Sokoto states.
