Unofficial results announced in Iraq's local elections
The Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq has announced the unofficial results of the local elections held across the country yesterday.

The unofficial results were announced by commission members at a press conference held in Baghdad.
Accordingly, in the provincial council elections in Iraq's capital, Baghdad, the "Taqadum Party," led by former Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, took first place; the "Nabni Alliance," which includes Popular Mobilization Forces leaders Hadi al-Amiri and Qais al-Khazali along with other Shiite leaders, took second place; and the "State of Law Coalition," led by former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, secured third place.
HERE ARE THE UNOFFICIAL RESULTS FROM THE BALLOT BOX
In Iraq's Kirkuk province, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) came in first with 139,373 votes, while the Arab Coalition List placed second with 98,174 votes, and the United Iraqi Turkmen Front List took third place with 72,028 votes.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party came in fourth in Kirkuk with 46,749 votes.
In the Sunni-majority Anbar province, the Taqadum Party took the top spot.
