US administration pushes the button for oil in Venezuela

It has emerged that under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, the American government is taking strategic steps toward energy investments in Venezuela. It has been learned that the administration has initiated talks with leading American energy companies to evaluate the oil potential in Venezuela.

In a statement made by the White House, it was reported that the discussions will be led by Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. An official providing information on the matter stated that communication with the companies has been initiated and that the process will continue.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt summarized the administration's goals, stating, "As President Trump has indicated, he looks forward to working with American oil companies regarding new investments and opportunities in Venezuela."

All eyes are on Venezuela, which holds one of the world's largest oil reserves. The US administration plans to be active in the restructuring of the country's economy and energy infrastructure following a military intervention. President Trump had previously stated, "We will get the big US oil companies in (to Venezuela), they will spend billions of dollars to repair the oil infrastructure and they will start making money for the country."
