Airstrike by the US
The US reported that it neutralized 2 members of the terrorist organization in an airstrike it conducted against Al-Shabaab in Somalia.

In a statement from the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), it was stated that AFRICOM conducted an airstrike in the Yaq Dabel region of Somalia at the request of the army.
The statement reported that 2 members of the organization died in the attack on February 9 and that no civilians were harmed.
The US provides air support to the army in addition to military training to support the Mogadishu government's fight against the organization.
