The US continues to increase its support for Ukraine against Russia.
In a statement released by the US Department of State, it was announced that a significant amount of new weapons and equipment will be sent to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.
The statement said, "This $275 million package, which is part of our efforts to help Ukraine repel Russia's offensive near Kharkiv, includes urgently needed capabilities."
"TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE..."
Noting that aid from previous packages has already reached the front lines, the statement added, "We will deliver this new aid as quickly as possible so that the Ukrainian military can use it to defend its territory and protect the people of Ukraine.
As President Biden has made clear, the US and the international coalition we have built will continue to stand with Ukraine as it defends its freedom."
