In a statement from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, it was noted that the necessary certification notifying Congress of this sale decision has been provided.

The statement indicated that, upon the request of the Israeli government, the Department of State has approved the sale of heavy-duty tank trailers and related equipment with a total value of $164.6 million, and that the necessary certification notifying Congress of this approval has been sent.

The statement, which noted that deliveries are estimated to begin in 2027, reported that the sale includes not only heavy-duty tank trailers but also spare and repair parts, tools and driver kits, technical documentation, and logistics program support.

The approval of this sale to Israel comes at a time when there are ongoing debates regarding the launch of an independent investigation into the killing of Turkish-American activist Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi in the occupied West Bank, as well as calls for the suspension of military aid to Israel.
