US decides on military aid to Israel!

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) has announced that it will send a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and military personnel to Israel against the Iranian threat.

In a written statement from the Pentagon press office, it was stated, "At the direction of the President (Joe Biden), Secretary (Lloyd) Austin authorized the deployment of a THAAD battery and associated US military personnel to Israel to help bolster Israel's air defenses following Iran's unprecedented attacks against Israel on April 13 and October 1."

The statement noted that the THAAD battery would strengthen Israel's integrated air defense system, adding, "This is part of the broader adjustments the US military has made in recent months to support the defense of Israel and protect Americans from attacks by Iran and Iranian-aligned militias."

The statement pointed out that this is not the first time the US has deployed a THAAD battery to Israel, noting that a THAAD battery was deployed to Israel in 2019 for training and integrated air defense exercises.

REASON FOR SUPPORT EXPLAINED

The missile attacks carried out by Iran against Israel were cited as the reason for this military support that the US will provide to Tel Aviv. While no details were given regarding when the battery system would be sent, the US press reported that nearly 100 US military personnel would be deployed to Israel to operate the battery system.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps reported on October 1 that a missile attack had been carried out against "Israel, which targets Iran's national security," and stated that the attack was in retaliation for the Israeli strikes that killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.

Iranian state television had announced that approximately 200 missiles were fired at Israel and that hypersonic Fattah-1 missiles were used for the first time.
