US Embassy denies visa fee claims

The US Embassy issued a statement regarding reports that the visa fee for Turkish citizens had been raised to 435 dollars, stating that these claims are not true. The embassy stated, "As of now, there is no change in the visa fees applied to Turkish citizens."

The embassy did not provide any information regarding whether there will be an increase in visa fees in October.

ADDITIONAL FEE CLAIMS

It had been suggested that under the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" recently passed by the US Congress, an additional 250 dollar fee would be introduced for non-immigrant visa applications. It was claimed that this additional fee would be added to the current 185 dollar tourist visa, bringing the total visa fee to 435 dollars. It was also stated that this practice would begin on October 1.
