US Embassy in Beirut warns staff to 'leave the country'

The US Embassy in Beirut has issued a new travel advisory for its citizens in Lebanon.

The Embassy requested that non-essential government personnel and their family members leave the country due to the "security situation in Beirut."

The Embassy stated, "The Department of State has ordered the departure of non-emergency US government personnel and family members of government personnel due to the security situation in Beirut."
