US F-16 crashes in South Korea
A US F-16 fighter jet has crashed into the Yellow Sea off the west coast of South Korea. This incident marks the third US F-16 crash in South Korea within the last year.

The US Air Force announced that an F-16 fighter jet belonging to the 8th Fighter Wing, stationed at Kunsan Air Base approximately 180 kilometers south of the South Korean capital Seoul, encountered an emergency over the Yellow Sea and crashed at 08:41 local time.
It was reported that the pilot, who managed to eject from the aircraft, was rescued around 09:30 through a joint operation by South Korea and the US, and is in good health. A detailed investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.
3RD CRASH IN 1 YEAR
This latest incident marks the third US F-16 crash to occur in South Korea within the last year.
Last December, an F-16 belonging to the US 8th Fighter Wing crashed into the Yellow Sea during a routine training flight. In May, an F-16 belonging to the US 51st Fighter Wing crashed near Osan Air Base, south of Seoul. In both previous incidents, the pilots managed to eject and survived the crashes.
