In a statement issued by the United States Embassy in Riyadh, a call was made for US citizens currently in Saudi Arabia to leave the country.
The statement included the following: "We advise US citizens to depart Saudi Arabia via commercial flights if they can travel safely."
The warning noted that flight restrictions are occasionally imposed on the country's airspace due to the constant threat of missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks. However, it was emphasized that airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam remain open and continue to operate.
Embassy officials highlighted the importance of US citizens using these airports to leave the country as soon as possible for their own safety.
Recently, Saudi Arabian territory has been subjected to missile and UAV attacks launched by Iran in response to attacks carried out by the US and Israel.
