Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip have been ongoing since October 7. Addressing the grim picture of the war, Biden called on Israel to act in accordance with the 'laws of war'.

In his statement, US President Joe Biden reiterated that Israel has the right to defend itself, adding, “We must ensure they have what they need to protect their people today and always.”

''WE HAVE REACHED AN AGREEMENT FOR THE FIRST HUMANITARIAN AID SHIPMENT''

Calling on Israel to act according to the laws of war, Biden said, “Prime Minister Netanyahu and I discussed how Israel should act according to the laws of war. This means protecting civilians in the best way possible in war. We cannot ignore innocent Palestinians who only want to live in peace. For this reason, I have reached an agreement for the first humanitarian aid shipment to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”

Reiterating that peace between Palestine and Israel depends on a two-state solution, Biden said, “We cannot give up on a two-state solution.”
