While US President Donald Trump's Gaza plan has drawn significant reaction worldwide, the US-based Bloomberg News Agency has put forward a new claim.

According to Bloomberg's report, a plan envisioning the transport of Gazans via an airport in southern Israel or the Port of Ashdod was presented to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz yesterday.

The report, citing an Israeli official, stated that the plan was presented to Katz during a military meeting.

HE HAD GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO THE ARMY

US President Trump had claimed that Gazans would not want to return to the region if they had a safe alternative, and had expressed that Gazans could be resettled in other countries.

Furthermore, stating that "the US will take over the Gaza Strip," Trump had used the expressions, "We will own it, and we will be responsible for removing all dangerous unexploded ordnance and other weapons from the field, clearing the field and getting rid of the destroyed buildings, and providing economic development that will provide an unlimited number of jobs and housing for the people of the region."

Israeli Defense Minister Katz, following Trump's statements, had instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to prepare a plan that would enable Gazans to "voluntarily leave the region" and "emigrate to any country that accepts them."
