US Media: Trump cancels Witkoff and Kushner's visit to Pakistan

According to the US media, US President Donald Trump has canceled the official visit that Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner were set to make to Pakistan as part of planned talks with Iran.

A notable development has occurred in the diplomatic contacts between Iran and the US. According to the US media, US President Donald Trump canceled the expected official visit to Pakistan, which was planned as part of discussions between Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Iran. According to a report by the US-based Fox News, Trump stated that there was no need for the US delegation to make an 18-hour flight to Pakistan at a time when the US holds all the cards in the conflict with Iran.

Emphasizing that he could hold a phone conversation with the Iranians whenever he wanted, Trump said, "I told my team a while ago to get ready to leave. Then I said, 'No, you don't need to take an 18-hour flight to go there. We have all the cards. They can call us whenever they want; you will no longer take 18-hour flights to sit and talk about nothing.'"

This development comes shortly after the Iranian delegation led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in Pakistan yesterday evening, departed from the capital, Islamabad.
