The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that precision airstrikes were carried out against ISIS targets in Syria.

It was reported that 12 ISIS terrorists were killed in the strikes, which targeted areas previously under the control of Assad and Russia.

It was noted that the strikes aim to prevent ISIS from regrouping in Syria and to maintain pressure on the group, while initial assessments indicate there were no civilian casualties.

CENTCOM Commander General Michael Erik Kurilla stated regarding the strikes, "Working with allies and partners in the region, CENTCOM will not allow ISIS to regroup and take advantage of the current situation in Syria."
