US President Trump claims China is panicking

The reciprocal tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump on April 2 have sparked reactions worldwide. Following China's announcement that it would impose the same rate of tariffs on all US goods in retaliation for the 34 percent tariff announced by Trump, the US President made a new statement. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, "China made a mistake. They panicked. It is the one thing they cannot afford to do!"
TRUMP DISCUSSED TARIFFS WITH TO LAM
In another post, noting that he had a phone call with Vietnamese President To Lam regarding tariffs, Trump said, "I had a very productive phone call with To Lam. He said that Vietnam wants to reduce tariffs to zero if they reach a deal with the US. I thanked him on behalf of our country and stated that I look forward to a meeting in the near future."
"MY POLICIES WILL NEVER CHANGE"
In a post regarding his sanctions, Trump stated, "I want to say this to the many investors who are coming to the United States and making large investments: My policies will never change. This is a great time to be rich, to be richer than ever before."
MESSAGE TO FED CHAIR POWELL
In another post addressing Jerome Powell, Chair of the Federal Reserve System (the US central bank), Trump said, "This is the perfect time for Powell to cut interest rates. He is always late, but now he can change his image and do it quickly. Energy prices are down, interest rates are down, inflation is down, even the price of eggs has dropped by 69 percent, and the unemployment rate has risen. All of this happened in just 2 months. A big win for the US. Jerome, cut interest rates and stop playing with policies."
