US reaction to France over Palestine

STATEMENT ON THE DECISION FROM FRENCH PRESIDENT MACRON

French President Emmanuel Macron announced the decision to recognize a Palestinian state and stated that he would make an official announcement on the matter at the United Nations General Assembly. In a post on social media, Macron stated, "Remaining faithful to our historical commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize a Palestinian state."
