Blinken, made a press statement following his visit to Egypt. Stating that he had a very good meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Blinken said that Egypt has provided significant aid to the people of Gaza.

"The Rafah Border Crossing will reopen." said Blinken, adding that a mechanism would be established with the United Nations (UN), Egypt, Israel, and other countries to ensure aid reaches Gaza.
