It has been reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will come to Turkey between May 14-16. In a statement from the US Department of State, it was stated, "Marco Rubio will travel to Turkey from May 14-16 to attend the NATO Informal Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs."

The US Department of State statement indicated that Rubio would come to Turkey to participate in the ongoing talks aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine War.

THE MEETING WILL BE HELD IN ANTALYA ON MAY 14-15

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan will host the NATO Informal Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (NATO iFMM) in Antalya on May 14-15.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs sources, the meeting, where 32 NATO member allies will be represented, will be held in Antalya on May 14-15.

NATO Informal Meetings of Ministers of Foreign Affairs provide an opportunity for additional exchange of views among allied ministers ahead of NATO summits. In this context, preparations for the "NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government" to be held in The Hague on June 24-25 will be discussed by the allied foreign ministers at this meeting in Antalya.

Within the scope of the meeting, it is expected that the allied foreign ministers, the NATO Secretary General, and other high-level NATO officials will come together at a social event to be hosted by Minister Fidan on the evening of May 14.
