Pentagon Spokesperson Sean Parnell shared the information on the X social media platform that Hegseth's plane, which was returning from a NATO meeting, made an emergency landing at an airport in the UK due to a crack that occurred in the windshield.
Parnell stated, "While returning to the US from the NATO Defense Ministers Meeting, Hegseth's plane made an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in its windshield."
Emphasizing that the plane landed "in accordance with standard procedures," Parnell noted that everyone on the plane, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe.
Secretary Hegseth had attended the Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels today and evaluated the course of the Russia-Ukraine War.
