The US Department of Defense stated that the approved arms include F-15 jets and equipment valued at approximately $19 billion, tank ammunition valued at approximately $774 million, and military vehicles valued at $583 million.
In the notification of approval sent to Congress by the US State Department, it was stated that the arms sale would "increase Israel's capacity to counter current and future enemy threats."
