It has been reported that US President Trump will be in Istanbul if Russian leader Putin comes to Turkey.
US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy Kellogg said, "We hope President Putin will come (to Istanbul), and then President Trump will be there too. It could be a very good meeting with him."
Trump's Special Envoy for Ukraine, Kellogg, made assessments regarding the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire process in a program he attended on the Fox Business channel.
Kellogg stated, "We hope President Putin will come (to Istanbul), and then President Trump will be there too. It could be a very good meeting with him."
Noting that there is already a draft to end the war between the two countries, Kellogg said, "We can say that these are the areas where we think they should negotiate. They need to talk about these topics. President (Volodymyr) Zelenskyy will be there, and if Putin also comes, I think we are much closer to an agreement than many people think. The first thing we will do, of course, will be a ceasefire."
Stating that a peace negotiation cannot be held without a ceasefire, Kellogg indicated that they are ready to go to Istanbul.
