White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby answered questions from journalists during a press briefing.

Regarding the Israeli military's attacks on the occupied Gaza Strip, Kirby stated, "Being honest about the fact that there have been civilian casualties and there are likely to be more is being honest. Because that's what war is. It is brutal, it is ugly, it is messy."

"WE DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING COMING FROM HAMAS"

John Kirby also spoke about US President Joe Biden's lack of trust in the civilian casualty figures in Gaza, saying, "We all know that the Gaza Ministry of Health is just a front for Hamas. We cannot accept anything that comes from Hamas, including the so-called Ministry of Health, at face value."

US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller also spoke regarding President Biden's statement that he has doubts about the accuracy of the death toll in Gaza.

Spokesperson Miller stated, "The only organization that can provide a clear number right now is Hamas. And we do not trust Hamas."
