The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that the Strait of Hormuz was closed following US attacks carried out last night.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM), however, issued a different statement regarding the matter.

In the statement made by CENTCOM, it was said, "The Strait of Hormuz remains open for transit. Safe passage routes have been established for commercial vessels passing through the strait.

These passage routes are open to all vessels that do not violate the blockade against Iran.

Hundreds of ships have passed through in the last two months. US forces remain in a defensive posture against attacks originating from Iran. Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz."
