US strikes another drug-carrying boat in the Caribbean

The US military's operations against drug traffickers in the Caribbean continue. US President Donald Trump announced that the US military has struck another boat carrying drugs that departed from Venezuela.

Stating that he personally ordered the strike, Trump noted that this was the second attack against drug cartels. Trump stated that the boat in question had departed from Venezuela and was being used by drug traffickers, adding that the attack took place in international waters. "These extremely dangerous drug trafficking cartels pose a threat to the national security, foreign policy, and vital interests of the United States," Trump said.

Stating that 3 cartel members were killed in the attack, Trump said, "No US military personnel were harmed in this strike. We are warning you: if you are carrying drugs that will kill Americans, we are hunting you. The illegal activities of these cartels have had devastating consequences on American communities for decades and have caused the deaths of millions of US citizens. That will no longer be the case," he said.
