US Vice President Harris expresses support for Israel

US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris made statements regarding Israel's attack on Iran.

In her statement to reporters, Harris said, "We are also extremely determined to de-escalate tensions in the region, and that will be our focus. Of course, we continue to support Israel's right to defend itself."

Pointing to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to the region this week as an example of the Biden administration's efforts to end the war in Gaza and Lebanon, Harris said, "We must rescue the hostages and work toward a two-state solution.

We strongly believe that the strength of our work regarding Lebanon and the region lies in the diplomatic efforts we will undertake to achieve this goal," she stated.
