US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to a statement from the White House, the two leaders held a phone call that lasted less than 30 minutes.

On the agenda for the pair was the attack carried out by Israel on World Central Kitchen (WCK) aid workers in Gaza. One of the 7 aid workers who lost their lives in the attack was a US citizen.

The White House had previously reacted to the killing of Western staff members of the US-based humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen, which conducts humanitarian aid operations in Gaza, in an Israeli attack, stating that Israel must investigate the incident quickly.

During the call, Biden told Netanyahu that the attacks on aid workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable.

The US president stated that Israel must announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps regarding the harm to civilians, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers.
