Venezuela holds military exercises against US threat

The Venezuelan Armed Forces held a major military exercise in the capital, Caracas, in response to threats from the US. The exercise involved army tanks, warships, and 2,300 soldiers. Venezuela stated that the exercise is intended as a comprehensive defense against military threats originating from the US.
MILITARY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CIVILIANS LAUNCHED
It has been reported that the Venezuelan government has launched military training for civilians by deploying armed forces and militia units to the streets. According to local media reports, the National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Bolivarian Militia have been deployed in the capital, Caracas, and other regions. CBS News announced that some civilians have applied to join the militias.
Venezuelan officials stated that this step was taken to strengthen defense against US threats. Diosdado Cabello, a high-ranking government official, emphasized that Venezuela is prepared for any kind of foreign attack.
TRUMP'S STATEMENTS ESCALATED TENSIONS
Tensions between the US and Venezuela increased after the Trump administration accused Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of being the leader of a drug cartel. While the US increased the bounty on Maduro's head to 50 million dollars, it sent warships to the Caribbean under the pretext of "combating drug cartels."
