The Gaza Strip is being dragged into a catastrophe of hunger and famine due to Israel's intense attacks and its obstruction of humanitarian aid. In the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian crisis is deepening due to the Israeli blockade, the systematic prevention of access to food, clean water, and basic healthcare services is threatening the lives of civilians, especially children and the elderly.
In a statement made today by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, it was reported that 4-year-old Mustafa Yasin from Gaza City has lost his life due to malnutrition.
"AS LONG AS FOOD AND WATER DO NOT REACH GAZA..."
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Gaza Civil Defense, who carried the lifeless body of Mustafa Yasin, said, "This child was one of our children from Gaza City. He lost his life to hunger in the Gaza Strip. This child died of starvation because the entry of food, water, and humanitarian aid into Gaza is not permitted due to the blockade imposed by Israel. This is not the first child to die of hunger. Many children have lost their lives due to the famine in Gaza. As long as food and water do not reach Gaza, we will see more deaths among children. What did this little child do to be punished with death? He should have lived, he should have grown up with joy, but the Israeli occupation deprived him of this joy."
Basal called on the international community and organizations to take action to stop the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Gaza Media Office, at least 58 Palestinians have lost their lives due to malnutrition so far.
