Donald Trump celebrates election victory with FETÖ member Enes Kanter

Donald Trump, who was elected President of the United States, invited fugitive FETÖ member Enes Kanter to the first celebration event he held after his election victory. Trump's close attention to Kanter, known as the 'spiritual son' of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen, also drew attention.

During his first presidential term between 2016 and 2020, Trump had threatened Turkey many times for the extradition to America of Andrew (Pastor) Brunson, who was arrested and convicted in İzmir on charges of engaging in espionage activities.

The report by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office conducting the investigation included information that Brunson was in contact with the PKK and FETÖ.

It is also known that Marco Rubio, whom Trump has nominated for US Secretary of State, has a close relationship with FETÖ and Kanter and has 'called for sanctions against Turkey.'

What stance Donald Trump will take regarding FETÖ members in the US and what attitude he will adopt in negotiations concerning their extradition to Turkey remains a subject of curiosity.
