An explosion occurred at a police station in the city of Swabi, located in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
While numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, 2 people lost their lives and 33 others were injured in the blast.
Authorities stated that the explosion took place in a storage area where explosives seized from terrorists were being kept, adding that the blast caused significant damage to the police station. An investigation into the explosion has been launched.
