Forest fire near nuclear power plant in England: 10 hectares reduced to ash

In the coastal town of Suffolk, England, a forest fire that broke out on July 29 damaged approximately 10 hectares of land. It was stated that this size is equivalent to about 14 football pitches.
An emergency situation was declared in the region due to the fire, which began around 17:00 local time. As the flames approached residential areas, a large number of homes were evacuated.
The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service announced that 70 firefighters were responding to the blaze. The statement emphasized that there is currently no risk to the Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station, which is located approximately 6.4 kilometers away from the fire area as the crow flies.
Authorities reported that there have been no deaths or injuries in the fire so far. In recent days, countries in Europe, including Spain and France, have also been battling forest fires.
