Hamas launched 'Operation Al-Aqsa Flood' against Israel in the morning hours. Hamas announced that 5,000 rockets and mortars were fired in the first 20 minutes. A state of war alert was declared within the Israeli army. While 5 people lost their lives in Israel as a result of the rocket attacks, clashes continue following the infiltration of an armed group from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel.

Following the attacks launched by Hamas in the morning, missile sounds were heard and smoke rose from many parts of the country. As a result of a rocket hitting a residential area where civilians were present in the city of Tel Aviv, vehicles in the parking lot were engulfed in flames. Those moments were captured on a mobile phone camera.
