The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the missile attack on Israel, stating, "We targeted the heart of the occupied territories in revenge for Haniyeh, Nasrallah, and Nilforoushan.

If the Zionist regime responds to Iran's attacks, it will face heavier attacks."

IRAN: LEGAL, RATIONAL, AND LEGITIMATE ATTACK

Iran's mission to the United Nations described the attack on Israel as a "legal, rational, and legitimate response."

In a post on X, it was noted that "if Israel dares to respond, a more devastating attack will be carried out."

ORDER FROM KHAMENEI.. TAKEN TO A SAFE PLACE

It was announced that the order for the attack carried out by Iran was given by the country's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. The Iranian official, who announced that the order came from Khamenei, also emphasized that Tehran is ready for any kind of retaliation.

This source stated that Khamenei was taken to a safe place following the attack.

Following Iran's missile attacks, the Israeli army announced that the public could leave the shelters.

JORDAN AND IRAQ CLOSED THEIR AIRSPACE

Jordan closed its airspace to flights following Iran's missile attack on Israel. After Jordan, Iraq also closed its airspace.

FLIGHTS CANCELED

Flights were suspended at Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel's largest airport located in Tel Aviv. Later, Israel's aviation authority announced that take-offs and landings were canceled at all airports.

The Israeli army also stated in an announcement that the airspace was closed.

BIDEN CONVENED HIS NATIONAL SECURITY TEAM

It was reported that US President Joe Biden convened his national security team regarding the escalating Israel-Iran tensions following Israel's increasing attacks on Lebanon.

According to a written statement from the White House, Biden met with his national security team in the morning hours before Iran's missile attacks on Israel began.

During the meeting, which was also attended by Vice President Kamala Harris, the current situation regarding Iran's preparations for a ballistic missile attack on Israel was evaluated.

Biden and the national security team also discussed US assistance for Israel's self-defense and the latest status of American troops serving in the region.

A senior White House official, who spoke to an AA correspondent on the condition of anonymity, made the following statement regarding the Israel-Lebanon tension: "The US has indications that Iran is preparing to launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel imminently. We are actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel against this attack. A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran."
