Violent clashes in Aleppo

Members of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization launched an attack with heavy weapons on Syrian security forces in the Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in central Aleppo, while also targeting the area around the Rahman Mosque in the Suryan neighborhood with mortar fire.
In the region where security forces have responded to the attacks, clashes are continuing intermittently.
Syrian media reported that violent clashes are occurring in Aleppo between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Syrian branch of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, and the Syrian army, stating that 1 soldier lost his life and 3 soldiers were wounded in the fighting.
Security units had increased security measures around the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the evening hours.
The PKK/YPG terrorist organization also launched an attack on Syrian security forces in the Deir Hafir region, located east of Aleppo city center, yesterday evening, leading to clashes between the parties.
In a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, it was stated, "Our movements come following the attacks by the SDF, their targeting of civilians, and their attempts to seize new villages."
The Ministry also added, "We remain committed to the March 10 agreement and have no intention of conducting military operations."
