Smoke began to rise from the Dahiyeh region, known as a stronghold of Hezbollah, following the violent explosion.

The explosion occurred after Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee published a map on his X account and issued an attack threat.

In his post, Adraee had marked a point in the Haret Hreik area and issued an evacuation warning.

Following the explosion in question, Adraee issued another evacuation warning in a subsequent post, marking a point in the Ghobeiry neighborhood of the Dahiyeh region.

Israel had carried out at least 12 airstrikes on the Dahiyeh region in the south of Beirut on Tuesday afternoon.
