Warning from Lebanese Civil Defense for the southern region
As the US-brokered ceasefire takes effect, the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate has warned the public: "Wait for the official security announcement before returning to the southern region."

The ceasefire agreement announced by US President Joe Biden following its approval by the governments of Lebanon and Israel went into effect as of 04:00 local time (05:00 Turkish time).
The Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate called on the public not to return to the south of the country until an official statement is made confirming that the ceasefire is fully established, in order not to endanger their safety.
The statement requested that citizens obtain information about the condition of roads leading to villages and towns, comply with the instructions of security forces, and check the suitability of their vehicles before traveling. It was stated that citizens should secure basic necessities for at least one week and stay away from damaged buildings and dangerous infrastructure. Warnings were issued to stay away from suspicious objects and to report any abnormal situations to the authorities immediately. It was recommended to contact civil defense teams in the region if assistance is needed.
