Was the airport in Tel Aviv hit by a ballistic missile? Yemeni Houthis announce

The Houthis in Yemen announced that they struck Ben Gurion Airport, located southeast of Tel Aviv, with a ballistic missile during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's return from the United States.

Houthi Military Spokesperson Yahya Saree stated in his announcement, 'The missile unit of the (Houthi-controlled) Yemeni armed forces struck Jaffa Airport (Ben Gurion) in Tel Aviv with a Palestine-2 type ballistic missile.'

Saree noted that the attack took place following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's arrival from New York after the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

Saree stated that they would continue to carry out 'further retaliations' in response to Israel's crimes and that they 'would not hesitate to escalate' when necessary to defend Gaza and Lebanon.

In a previous statement, the Israeli military announced that a missile launched from Yemen toward the center of the country had been intercepted and that sirens had sounded in Tel Aviv, causing panic among Israelis.
