"We reject the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza"

According to a written statement from the Royal Hashemite Court, the King of Jordan met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he was attending the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).

Stating that his country rejects the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the separation of Gaza from the West Bank, King Abdullah emphasized the need to protect civilians and stop the violations by Jewish settlers in the West Bank.

Pointing out that a two-state solution is the foundation for peace in the region and a component of regional security, King Abdullah expressed that the continuation of these attacks and their dire consequences are unacceptable.

Meanwhile, during the meeting, the two leaders emphasized the need to work toward increasing humanitarian aid to Gaza, ensuring its rapid and intensive delivery, and achieving a permanent ceasefire, noting that "the only way to achieve peace between Palestinians and Israelis is a two-state solution."
