White House announces US 'Artificial Intelligence Action Plan'

The statement, which touched upon the prominent policies in the Artificial Intelligence Action Plan, pointed to policies such as the export of American artificial intelligence, the encouragement of the rapid establishment of data centers, paving the way for innovation and implementation, and the protection of freedom of expression in models.

In the statement, which included his assessments, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that winning the artificial intelligence race cannot be a subject of negotiation.
Stating that the US must continue to be the dominant power in artificial intelligence to increase prosperity and protect economic and national security, Rubio said, "President Trump realized this at the beginning of his term and took a decisive step by having this plan prepared. Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Michael Kratsios also emphasized that the plan draws a definitive route to consolidate US sovereignty in the field of artificial intelligence.
Noting that Trump has prioritized artificial intelligence as the cornerstone of American innovation and that a new era of American leadership in science, technology, and global influence has begun, Kratsios stated, "This plan mobilizes federal efforts to increase our innovation capacity, build advanced technology infrastructure, and maintain global leadership. Artificial Intelligence and Crypto Czar David Sacks pointed out that artificial intelligence is a revolutionary technology with the potential to transform the global economy and change the balance of power in the world.
Emphasizing that the country must win this race to maintain its leadership in both economic and military fields, Sacks said, "President Trump saw this and requested that we prepare this plan. To win the artificial intelligence race, we must be leaders in innovation, infrastructure, and global collaborations."
