White House comments on 'Öcalan's call': 'It will bring peace'

As the repercussions of the call made by the leader of the terrorist organization Öcalan continue, the White House has also provided an assessment.
In the statement made by the White House, it was stated that "the call to the PKK will bring peace to the 'troubled region'."
White House National Security Council Spokesperson Brian Hughes said the following regarding the 'call':
"It is an important development, and we hope that this will help reassure our Turkish allies regarding the U.S.'s partners in the fight against ISIS in northeastern Syria. We believe (this development) will help bring peace to the troubled region."
